Dear Participants,
I am honored to welcome you to Robert College International Model United Nations 2023, which will host its participants worldwide for its sixteenth annual session between 17-20 April 2023.
Due to the COVID-19 precautions, our fifteenth session was held virtually for the second time in RCIMUN’s history. It hosted a total of 645 attendants, with 485 delegates accompanied by their advisors and 37 individual attendants, and guest speakers.
This year, adapting the new normal in accordance with the Ministry of Education directives and our school’s COVID-19 Health & Safety Policy, RCIMUN’23 will be welcoming its participants at the Robert College campus. As the Executive Team, we will be taking the deemed precautions regarding the health and safety of our participants to assure the acclaimed RCIMUN experience for you all.
RCIMUN 2023 will have the theme of “The Monopolies Turning the Wheels of History: Recognizing Circularity in an Ever-Changing World.” Our theme letter, published on our website, explores the idea further; therefore, the participants are encouraged to peruse the letter before proceeding with preparations for RCIMUN.
On behalf of the Executive Team, I am looking forward to working with all of you to establish an international platform to discuss current global issues and observe how circularity emerges as history repeats itself, and reflect on the ever-changing order of the world under the domination of monopolies. As one of the most prestigious MUN conferences in Turkey and Europe, we will be ensuring that RCIMUN will once again be providing an unmatched experience to all of its participants.
Cordially,
Ekin Kahraman
Secretary-General of RCIMUN 2023
