RCSA 2012 Robert College International Model United Nations Specialized Agencies (RCSA) is a branch of RCIMUN which was initiated by the Executive Board for the first time in 2010. After the success of Robert College Model International Criminal Court (RCMICC), RCSA was established in order to create a program independent of the General Assembly or the Security Council which would simulate a past, ongoing or future event generally related to international issues. Two years ago, RCSA simulated the Security Council of 1962 assembled for the Cuban Missile Crisis, and last year, the Specialized Agencies committee was the Historical Emergency General Assembly (the simulation of The First Emergency Session of the United Nations General Assembly on the Suez Crisis of 1956). Establishing the RCSA committees as Historical Committees has enabled RCSA to underline its uniqueness. The main aim of RCSA is to gather experienced and dedicated delegates together in an advanced environment of crisis solving, resolution writing and challenging debates. Hence, the delegates are appointed to the RCSA through an application process, providing an enhanced and unique Model United Nations experience. This year, the Executive Board decided to change the structure of RCSA. As of RCIMUN 2012, RCSA is going to be a body which incorporates the Special Committee and RCMICC. RCMICC will function exactly as it did last year, but the newly established Special Committee will function like the Specialized Agencies committees of last two years. The main topics of both MICC and the Special Committee are to be announced very soon. Click here to access the application form.
