Dear Delegates,

It is with proud honor that I welcome you to the Human Rights Committee at RCIMUN
2012.
My name is Alexandra Bartsch, I am 16 years old and currently attending the Junior Class
of the Catholic Theresienschool in Berlin, Germany.
This will be my 10th conference and the 3rd time serving as a Student Officer. I joined our
school's MUN program in 2008, after discovering my interest for international affairs.
MUN really helped me to increase my English and public speaking skills. Additionally, I met
many wonderful people from all over the world, who also share most of my interests.
Aside from MUN, I am an orienteering athlete. In my free time, I enjoy good films and
music.
I hope all of you are very excited to participate and bear in mind that preparation is a
prerequisite for successful debates.
I am looking forward to meeting you all in April and I assure you that I will try my best to
create a productive yet fun atmosphere in order to make RCIMUN 2012 an unforgettable event for all participants.
